My name is Arno, and together with my wife, Lena, we’ve turned our lifelong love for baking into our dream shop, Happy Pies, right in the heart of Berlin. Originally, I come from a small village in Bavaria, where baking is more than a trade—it’s a tradition. Some of my fondest memories are of my grandmother kneading dough in her tiny kitchen, the air rich with the scent of fresh bread. When Lena and I moved to Berlin, we missed that feeling of home. The city is vibrant and fast-paced, but we longed for a place where people could slow down, enjoy a warm slice of cake, and feel connected. That’s when we decided to open Happy Pies.
