Happy Pies

My name is Arno, and together with my wife, Lena, we’ve turned our lifelong love for baking into our dream shop, Happy Pies, right in the heart of Berlin. Originally, I come from a small village in Bavaria, where baking is more than a trade—it’s a tradition. Some of my fondest memories are of my grandmother kneading dough in her tiny kitchen, the air rich with the scent of fresh bread.

When Lena and I moved to Berlin, we missed that feeling of home. The city is vibrant and fast-paced, but we longed for a place where people could slow down, enjoy a warm slice of cake, and feel connected. That’s when we decided to open Happy Pies.

Our bakery isn’t just about selling pastries; it’s about sharing a piece of our story. Every loaf of sourdough and every slice of our signature apple strudel carries a bit of that Bavarian warmth. Since opening, we’ve been overwhelmed by the support of our community. Seeing our little shop bring people together over coffee and conversation has been the most rewarding part of this journey.

Berlin may be our new home, but through Happy Pies, we hope to give a taste of where we came from.
