Hand-knitted alpaca sweater – A sustainable unique piece

This sweater is a handmade one-of-a-kind piece, knitted from thick, long-haired alpaca wool that has been combined with a mohair effect yarn in warm cognac and gold tones. Perfect for chilly days – warm, stylish and sustainable.

Size and fit The sweater is given in size M, but its cut also fits other sizes, depending on body shape and fit preference. My model wears size M/L and is 168 cm tall.

Dimensions (measured horizontally, approx. information):

• Body: 63 cm long, 57 cm wide
• Sleeves: 47 cm long, 20 cm wide
• Neckline: 28 cm wide
• Collar: 45 cm long, 26 cm wide (slit 25 cm high)

Design and workmanship The sweater has a slim fit with slimmer sleeves and a boat neckline. The additional collar (loop) makes the design even more versatile.

• Knitting pattern: Coarse knit with three threads of thick alpaca wool, knitted with a needle size of 20 mm.
• Details: The fancy yarn has been incorporated in various places to give the sweater a special touch.
• Collar: Knitted with two threads in garter stitch, also with integrated fancy yarn.

Material and colours The material comes from Italy and consists of a high-quality mixture:

• 73% Alpaca (Suri)
• 17% Wool (Merino)
• 10% polyamide

The warm cognac tones harmonize with the golden accents of the fancy yarn. Please note that the color in real life is redder than in the photos.

Special features and wearing comfort The sweater is pleasantly warm, despite the loose coarse knit. Very sensitive people should wear a shirt underneath, as the material is not completely soft. The collar is close to the neck and is also more suitable for less sensitive wearers.

Care

• Wash: Wash only when necessary, better only ventilate. Hand wash in lukewarm water with mild detergent.
• Dry: Do not wring or rub. Spin in the machine at 1000 rpm, then dry flat.
• Storage: Always store lying down to avoid wearing out.
