Hand-knitted mohair sweater – a sustainable one-of-a-kind

Of course, a unique piece hand-knitted by me, which was made according to my own design and is ready for shipment immediately.

Material and design This unique sweater consists of a combination of leftover yarns and individual skeins that I have cleverly connected together. This creates an impressive gradient with varied textures. For the most part I used soft mohair yarns, complemented by effective fringes and glitter from my fancy yarn box.

Size and dimensions I have specified the sweater here with an M size, but it certainly fits other sizes due to its flexible fit – depending on body shape and preferences. If you have any questions about the size, please feel free to write to me!

Dimensions (all approximate figures, measured horizontally):

• Body: 48 cm long, 61 cm wide
• Sleeves: 40 cm long, 18 cm wide
• Neckline: 29 cm wide
• Collar: 27 cm wide, 13 cm high

When worn, the sweater falls longer, as knitwear can easily hang out when worn. My model is 168 cm tall and wears an M/L size in width.

Features The sweater has a boxy, rather body-hugging cut with a boat neckline and moderately wide sleeves. For extra versatility, I've added a small, knitted-on collar. The cuffs on the sleeves and body are knitted a little tighter, which gives the sweater a nice contour.

The materials are soft and comfortable, but may not be suitable for very sensitive skin due to the wool content. Mohair also loses fibers – I would like to mention that explicitly.

Sustainability and care This sweater stands for sustainable fashion: I used only second-hand materials and leftovers from my other projects to create a unique garment.

• Care:
  • Store knitwear flat to avoid wearing out.
  • If washing is necessary: Hand wash in lukewarm water with a mild detergent. Do not rub or wring. Spin in the machine at 1000 rpm and then dry flat.
  • It is better to ventilate only to protect the fibers.

I include enough repair wool with each sweater so that small touch-ups can be carried out without any problems.
