Hand-knitted vest in shades of blue and pink – a unique piece

This hand-knitted vest was lovingly crafted from three different shades of blue and a warm old pink. The soft colour gradient makes them a special eye-catcher. It is unique, ready to ship and perfect for cool days.

Material and design

The vest was knitted from a second-hand vintage mohair blend yarn (60% mohair, 40% synthetic). The thick yarn with a short pile is of very high quality. I always knitted three threads at the same time, which created a loose but voluminous knitting pattern.

• Palette: Three different shades of blue combined with old pink.
• Knitting technique: Knitted in garter stitch with needle size 15 mm. The tighter knitted cuffs provide a beautiful contour.

The color transitions were knotted by me. The resulting fringes are a deliberate design element. If you don't like them, you can simply pull them inside.

Fit and measurements

I've given the vest a size L here, but it also fits other sizes – depending on body shape and fit preference. If you are unsure, feel free to write to me!

• My model is 168 cm tall and wears size M/L.
• Dimensions (all measured horizontally, approx. information):
  • Body: 54 cm long, 70 cm wide
  • Armhole: 18 cm wide (stretchy)

Comfort

The vest is warming and goes perfectly with jeans, which makes it versatile to combine. However, the material is not very soft, so it may not be ideal for sensitive skin.

Care

• Always store the mohair vest flat so that it retains its shape and does not wear out.
• Wash only when it is really necessary, otherwise it is best to ventilate.
• Wash: With mild detergent in lukewarm water. Do not wring or rub.
• Skid: In the washing machine at 1000 rpm.
• Dry flat.

Sustainability and craftsmanship

My passion for knitting is in every move. I let my creativity run wild and combine different knitting techniques and materials to create wearable works of art. This vest is part of my vision for sustainable fashion: made from second-hand yarns and the leftovers of other projects.

I enclose enough repair wool with each vest so that it can be enjoyed for many years.
