Mohair sweater, hand-knitted unique piece
A hand-knitted one-of-a-kind piece of your own design and ready to ship. Bright red sweater made of mohair with colorful arm details.
Perfect fit and measurements
(Unfortunately, I couldn't photograph the red properly and had to edit the pictures. It is a rich darker red and not as bright as in the pictures. It's not pinkish.) My model wears a black longsleeve under the sweater.
I have specified the sweater here with an M size. But it certainly also fits other sizes, depending on body shape and fit preference. If you are unsure, feel free to write to me. My model wears size M/L and is 168 cm tall.
Dimensions (all measured horizontally and only approximate):
- Body: 52 cm long, 68 cm wide
- Arms: 32 cm long, 23 cm wide
- Neckline: 31 cm wide
Worn the sweater may be a little longer. Knitwear tends to get wider and longer over time and through a wash. Please keep that in mind.
Material and special features
The cut is kept simple: boxy body with boat neckline and moderately wide arms. Tighter cuffs on the arms and body give a beautiful contour. I knitted three threads with an NS12, the cuffs with an NS10. The knit is coarse and loose, but thick and warm.
The red yarn is made of 50% mohair and 50% synthetic. The other yarns used on the arms are of different qualities and contain a little lurex. I knotted the color transitions, so the resulting fringes are not a defect, but part of the design. But if you don't think it's as cool as I do, you can easily pull it inwards.
I find the wool used to be soft and would say that even skin-sensitive people can wear it. The colors used are white, dark blue, light blue, pink, an effect yarn with the same colors, as well as orange and white glitter. I point out that the material loses hair.
Care
An exclusive garment. Slow fashion instead of fast fashion. Sustainable and made to be enjoyed for many years.
To ensure that you can enjoy the knitted piece for a long time, you should always store it lying down. I add repair wool, keep it well, so that if something breaks, you (or feel free to contact me) can repair it.
