Mohair sweater, hand-knitted unique piece
A unique piece hand-knitted by me according to my own design and ready for shipping. Airy, light and transparent knit made of leftover wool.
Perfect fit and measurements
I specify the sweater here with an S size, but it certainly fits other sizes, depending on body shape and fit preference. If you are unsure, feel free to write to me (my girlfriend wears size M/L and it fits great too.) My model wears size S and is 172 cm tall.
Dimensions (all measured horizontally and only approximate):
- Body: 50 cm long, 47 cm wide
- Arms: from neckline 59 cm long, 20 cm wide
- Raglan slant incl. collar: 27 cm long
- Neckline: 25 cm wide
Knitwear tends to get bigger through wearing and/or washing. Please keep that in mind. (I let the sweater hang out for a while before measuring.)
The sweater does not have a specific front or back, so it can be worn from both sides.
Material and special features
The sweater is knitted as a raglan cut from top to bottom and seamless. Tighter cuffs on the arms and body give a beautiful contour, the neckline is also knitted in the cuff pattern. I knitted with NS12 in stockin. Different yarns in different lengths were knotted together, so I was able to use smaller amounts of yarn very well, especially leftovers from my other projects. The yarns are made of: mohair, wool, cotton and/or synthetics. In addition, I knitted two threads of white mohair throughout.
Some of the yarns used are prickly, despite the very light and loose knit, I would like to point out that very sensitive people may have to wear a shirt underneath. The color transitions are knotted, the resulting fringes are not a defect, but part of the design. I point out that the material loses hair.
Care
An exclusive garment. Slow fashion instead of fast fashion. Sustainable and made to be enjoyed for many years.
To ensure that you can enjoy the knitted piece for a long time, you should always store it lying down. I add repair wool, keep it well, so that if something breaks, you (or feel free to contact me) can repair it.
