The sweater is finished and ready for shipping. This is also a hand-knitted one-of-a-kind, knitted and designed by me.

Perfect fit and measurements

I specified the sweater with an S size. However, it certainly covers a wider range of sizes, depending on body shape and fit preference. If you are unsure, feel free to write to me.

Dimensions (all measured horizontally and only approximate):

  • Body: front 48 cm long, back 53 cm long, 66 cm wide
  • Arm: 31 cm long, 21 cm wide
  • Neckline: 18 cm wide at the back, 7 cm deep at the front

The model is 172 cm tall and wears size S. When worn, the sweater is a little longer. Please keep in mind that knitwear will become softer and a little wider over time and/or with a wash. The model wears a black top under the sweater.

Special yarn and design

The yarn is one of my favorite yarns – a loop yarn or boucle yarn. The loops give the knitted piece a special look and a unique feel. It is not fluffy soft, and skin-sensitive people cannot wear the material on bare skin. On this occasion, I mention that the fiber (like many others) loses hair.

Material and care instructions

The material is a mohair/virgin wool blend with Nilon content, which makes the small loops of the yarn so special. It is very easy to care for, washes and forgives being crumpled in a bag. So wonderful to take with you and quickly throw over when it gets fresh.

Material:

  • 78% Mohair
  • 15.4% virgin wool
  • 6.6% Nilon

Design and cut

The body is knitted in ecru/natural, irregularly interspersed with colorful threads. The threads are not knotted and hang out – that's part of the design. You can pull the stitches outwards or inwards. The body has a boxy cut, a few centimetres longer at the back than at the front, and the cuffs are open at the sides. The arms are moderately wide, so that they still fit well in a jacket, and have a tighter cuff. The neckline is round at the front and has a wider knitted collar.

The knitting pattern is knitted in plain stitch. I knitted two threads with an NS12. The knit is loose but warming. The sweater was washed by me with an organic detergent.

Washing instructions:

I recommend hand washing and then spinning in the machine (1000 rpm) or machine washing on the hand or wool cycle. Then dry flat. If you have a wool refresher program on your dryer, it can be dried there and will be nice and soft and loose. However, this should not be done all the time, as he loses material every time.

Uniqueness and Shipping

This sweater is an absolute unique piece, like all my offered items. This also results from the fact that I collect material together – often remaining stock, auctions, sales and also as a "second hand". I got this yarn from a weaving mill on the coast of England. I bought dozens of cones with "leftovers" on them. After the liquidation, a kindergarten had the cones donated as a gift and used them to build diligently.

I add repair wool in case it should ever be necessary to repair something.
