Mohair cardigan, hand-knitted unique piece, leftover knit
A unique piece hand-knitted by me according to my own design and ready for shipping. Mohair cardigan made of residual wool and single balls.
Perfect fit and measurements I would specify the sweater here with an S size. But it certainly also fits other sizes, depending on body shape and fit preference. If you are unsure, feel free to write to me.
My model wears size S/M and is 174 cm tall.
Dimensions (all measured horizontally and only approximate):
- Body: 61 cm wide, front 60 cm long
- Arms: 40 cm long, 20 cm wide
The cardigan is worn a little longer. Please keep in mind that knitwear becomes softer and therefore a little wider when worn for a long time and/or washed.
Simple and stylish cut The cut is simple: boxy body with a knitted collar, dropped shoulders and moderately wide arms. The back part is longer and the sides are open up to the front cuff. This makes the sweater fall great. Tighter cuffs on the arms and body give a beautiful contour.
I knitted the lower part of the body in garter stitch and pulled it up over three stitches as a finish on the collar, the upper part and the sleeves smooth. Loose knit, relatively dense and very nice falling.
Diverse colour spectrum and special design For this knit, I used up many different individual balls, so the color spectrum is very diverse: purple, bordeaux, red, white, teal, brown and more. Six threads of different thicknesses were knitted together and when one ball was used up, another was knotted.
The color transitions are knotted, the resulting delicate "fringes" are not a defect, but part of the design. If you don't think that's as cool as I do, you can just pull these fringes inwards.
Material and care instructions The yarns used are of different compositions, all with mohair. They are also different in softness, but I believe that it is not the right material for very sensitive individuals. I point out that the material loses hair.
Actually, the cardigan is worn open, but I include a large clasp with which you can loosely close the jacket. I have silver, gold, and black; you are welcome to choose a color.
Shipping and packaging I charge a shipping and packaging fee of €5 for shipping to EU countries €15. We have to discuss shipping to other countries, so please write to me.
An exclusive garment. Slow fashion instead of fast fashion. Sustainable and made to be enjoyed for many years.
To ensure that you can enjoy the knitted piece for a long time, you should always store it lying down. I put repair wool in it, keep it well, so that if something breaks, you (or feel free to contact me) can repair it.
