Perfect fit and measurements I specified the cardigan as size XL. However, it is sure to fit other sizes as well, depending on body shape and fit preference. If you are unsure, feel free to write to me.
My model is 168 cm tall and wears about size M/L.
Dimensions (all measured horizontally):
- Body: 60 cm long, 98 cm wide
- Arm: 18 cm long, 30 cm wide
- Neckline: 4 cm wide
- The two front parts are overlapping.
The jacket is worn longer. I had the jacket unhooked before measuring, but keep in mind that knitted pieces become softer and wider over time and/or through a wash.
High-quality and special material The yarn is one of my favorite yarns – a loop yarn or boucle yarn. The loops give the knitted piece a special look and feel. It is not fluffy soft, and skin-sensitive people cannot wear the material on bare skin. Like many other fibers, this yarn also loses hair.
Practical and easy to clean The material is very easy to clean. It washes and forgives being crumpled up in a bag – ideal for taking with you and quickly throwing over when it gets fresh. The blend of mohair, virgin wool and Nilon makes the yarn particularly robust.
Material:
- 78% Mohair
- 15.4% virgin wool
- 6.6% Nilon
Design and uniqueness The body is knitted in ecru/natural, irregular colorful threads have been inserted in the back. One sleeve is knitted only in the bright colors. The threads are knotted and hang out – this is part of the design and is not a defect. You can pull the stitches outwards or inwards.
The body is cut extra wide, the arms are wide. Narrower cuffs give contour. The knitting pattern is knitted in garter stitch. I knitted two threads with an NS12. The knit is loose but warming.
Special origin I got this yarn from a weaving mill on the coast of England. I bought dozens of cones with "leftovers" on them. After unwinding, the kindergarten had the cones given to them and built them diligently.
Washing instructions: I recommend hand washing and then spinning in the machine (1000 rpm) or machine washing on the hand or wool cycle. Then dry flat. If you have a wool refresher program in your dryer, you can let the cardigan dry there – this will make it nice and soft and loose. However, this should not be done all the time, as he loses material every time.
This cardigan is an absolute unique piece, like all my offered items.
